The township of St.George is located 500 kms west of Brisbane. Situated in southern inland Queensland on the Balonne River, St.George has a strong sense of community. The district population is 3,800. 

 

While the summers are hot (34.2 + degrees), winter is cold with crisp clean days (5.5degrees).  Annual rainfall is 516 mm. The night skies are an astronomers dream.

In St.George a full range of lifestyle and sporting activities are available. Beautiful gardens, streetscapes and river walkways  feature in the town. Team sports, football and netball, as well as many individual sports such as tennis, golf and campdrafting are available.
